Target Field, July 2nd 2010 by Ryan SiemersTarget Field, the new home of the Minnesota Twins, held their first fireworks show was on July 2nd. WCCO had the perfect type of write up to give location, size, and duration for scouting out a great show to photograph.
Unfortunately I had been researching the fireworks for the Taste of Minnesota. The Taste of Minnesota has been a tradition for 25 Years. For 25 years they had fireworks every night of the taste. So why would I expect that fireworks have been reduced from every night, to just the 4th. This was mentioned in only one location that I could find, a small notice in the Star Tribune. This is the principle reason for researching.

Luckily when I learned about the change in plans, I high tailed it to the Twins game with enough time to be misdirected by a plaza attendant and enough time to have scouted out the rest of my viable options.
The show lasted only 10-15 minutes and because of the nature of fireworks in downtown urban areas the show wasn’t mind blowing, but it was certainly enough to entertain.
